Freddy Mercury died in 1991 but his genius lives on in DVD of 1981 concert in Montreal.

Cineplex Entertainment will premiere the re-mastered Queen Rock Montreal Concert in high definition and digital surround sound Wednesday, Oct. 17 at the Sudbury Cineplex and 52 other theatres in Canada.

Advance tickets are now available online as well as at participating theatre box offices. General admission is $9.95 plus tax.

"We are pleased to partner with Eagle Rock Entertainment to bring Queen to giant screens across Canada exclusively at select Cineplex Entertainment theatres," said Pat Marshall, vice-president, Communications and Investor Relations, Cineplex Entertainment.

"This performance makes you feel as if you are on stage with Queen when you combine our giant screens, stadium seats and Dolby Digital Surround Sound."

The concert, originally shot in Montreal in 1981 at The Forum captured Queen like no other concert film. "Hello Montreal…long time no see. You wanna get crazy?" asks Freddy as the band tears into their alternative "fast" version of We Will Rock You. From there on Queen show their hard rock roots with such classics as Play the Game, Somebody to Love, Under Pressure, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Bohemian Rhapsody and more!

The Queen Rock Montreal DVD is set for an Oct. 30 release. Also slated for an Oct. 30 release is the special two-disc edition of the DVD called Queen Rock Montreal + Live Aid, which includes the band's Live Aid performance from July 13, 1985 (regularly polled as the greatest live performance of all time), along with never-before-seen rehearsal footage and interviews.

To celebrate, Cineplex Entertainment is holding a Freddie Mercury Look-A-Like Contest!

Dress up like Freddie Mercury at any of the Cineplex Entertainment presentations of Queen Rock Montreal on Oct. 17 and you'll have the chance to win fantastic prizes.

The best dressed Freddie will be determined by the audience prior to the start of the concert.
