Cirque coming to SilverCity

Cirque du Soleil's Delirium will be shown for four performances at SilverCity Sudbury Cinemas.

Delirium will be presented at select Cineplex Entertainment theatres on Wednesday Aug. 20 and Thursday Aug. 21 at 7 p.m. as well as Saturday Aug. 23 and Sunday Aug. 24 at 1 p.m.

Advance tickets are now available online at www.cineplex.com as well as at participating theatre box offices. General admission is $20 plus taxes.

The Hot Ticket, a new business unit of Sony Pictures Releasing, will distribute event programming including music concerts, Broadway shows and premier sporting events in High-Definition digital projection to select North American movie theatres.

Created and directed by Michel Lemieux and Victor Pilon, Delirium is a multifaceted event featuring Cirque du Soleil music. Driven by an urban tribal beat and awe-inspiring visuals, musicians, singers and dancers transform the arena into joyous frenzy.

To heighten the musical experience, Delirium is infused with acrobatic dances as well as classic Cirque du Soleil feats including aerial, acrosport and hand balancing acts.

After touring in North America and internationally, Delirium was performed live for the last time on April 17, 2008 in London, UK.
