Early bird tickets for the sixth edition of Wordstock Sudbury Literary Festival go on sale Wednesday, Aug. 7.

The festival is being held Nov. 1-3 at the Holiday Inn.

“We have introduced a special early bird deal this year, which includes a full festival pass and two master classes for only $120,” said festival director Heather Campbell.

“This special deal will only last until Friday, Sept. 6th.”

This year’s festival features Canadian literary greats: Doyali Islam (Heft), Joshua Whitehead (Johnny Appleseed, Full Metal Indigiqueer), Kyo Maclear (Birds Art Life), Monique Gray Smith (Tilly and the Crazy Eights), Lauren Carter (Following Sea), slam poets Tanya Neumeyer and Britta Badour and many others.

Master classes include Doyali Islam on poetry and Ryan McMahon on podcasting. 

The lineup will also include local authors with new releases this year such as former poet laureates Kim Fahner (These Wings) and Tom Leduc (Slagflower: Poems Unearthed From A Mining Town).
