Plaza 69 Pharmacy at 1935 Paris St. in the Four Corners of the city's South End is the only pharmacy open Christmas Day. Its hours are noon to 5 pm. Hours on Boxing Day are 9 am to 6 pm, and noon to 5 pm on New Year's Day.


The King's Buffet on The Kingsway is open from 3 to 8:30 pm on Christmas Day. The Jade Garden has delivery service after 4 pm on Dec. 25.


The St. Joseph Health Centre emergency department is open Christmas Day but all after hour clinics are closed. The Brady Clinic at 359 Riverside Dr. is also closed Boxing Day and Jan. 1. They are open Dec. 31 from 10 am to 2 pm. They remain open Boxing Day and New Year's Day.


The Lasalle All Day Walk In Clinic at 1813 Lasalle Blvd. will be open from 9 am to 9 pm Boxing Day and New Year's Day. The Northwood Medical Clinic in Val Est at 3140-8 Highway 69 N. will be open Boxing Day from 11 am to 3 pm.

The Victorian Order of Nurses on Elm St. behind the Days Inn is closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day, but is open for emergency cases in between days of normal operation from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. Phone 671-1575.


All offices of the Sudbury & District Health Unit will be closed for the holidays Monday, Dec. 25; Tuesday, Dec. 26; and Monday, Jan. 1 The Sudbury & District Health Unit maintains a 24-hour service for public health emergencies at 522-9200.


All branches of Greater Sudbury Public Library and the Citizen Service Centres are closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, and open regular hours next Wednesday to Saturday, Dec. 31. They are closed Monday Jan.1.

All municipal public buildings operated by the City of Greater Sudbury will be closed on Monday, Dec. 25, Tuesday Dec. 26 and Monday, Jan 1. Municipal facilities, including Citizen Service Centres, will close at 2 pm today and Friday, Dec. 29. Greater Sudbury Infrastructure Services maintains a 24-hour message service for road, water and sewer emergencies. Phone 560-2022.


One-Eleven Senior Citizens' Centre is closed Monday and Tuesday, and reopens Wednesday, Dec. 27. However many regular activities such as line dancing classes and choir practice are canceled until January.


There are no Sudbury buses on Christmas Day. Boxing Day buses will run on the Sunday service schedule. Christmas Eve buses run until 6:15 pm.
