Children's favourite, Franklin The Turtle, is coming to Sudbury
Saturday, Dec. 9  at 1 and 4 pm for a Christmas
performance being held in the Fraser Auditorium at Laurentian
University.
Sponsoured by Northern Lights Festival Boreal and Koba
Entertainment of Toronto, the children's show will be a delight
for all, said Paul Loewenberg, spokesperson for NLFB.

"There won't be a bigger show this Christmas," said
Loewenberg.
"Since the first book, Franklin in the Dark, was published in
1986, Franklin has gained world-wide fame. The series of books,
written by Paulette Bourgeois and illustrated by Brenda Clark,
have sold more than 54 million copies around the globe," said
Michelle Szeto, marketing director for Paquin Entertainment of
Winnepeg.
"Imaginative story lines and memorable art have made Franklin a
friend to every child. In Koba's live production, Franklin and
his pals reassure children that it's okay to feel a myriad of
ever-changing emotions, and encourage young people to solve
problems on their own," she said.
Spearheading the Franklin show is Patti Caplette, who brings
over 20 years of theatrical experience in directing as well as
performing dance. In 2004, Caplette was creative producer for
the International Friendship Festival, implementing creative
elements for six performance tents including Sesame Street
characters Elmo, Zoe, Grover and Cookie Monster.
Tickets are $16 available at Records on Wheels, Jett Landry
Music, Chapters, Gloria's restaurant and Walden Home
Hardware.
