Manitoulin Country Fest, which runs in Little Current on Manitoulin Island Aug. 6-8, 2020, recently announced Friday headliner Trace Adkins, a three-time Grammy nominee.

The “You’re Gonna Miss This” singer has enjoyed a career that spans more than two decades and has racked up an impressive 200 million views on YouTube, one billion spins on Pandora, and over one million followers on Spotify, said a press release.

Adkins' storied career also includes his induction into the Grand Ole Opry and a slew of impressive film credits with performances in The Lincoln Lawyer, Deepwater Horizon, and I Can Only Imagine.

Adkins most recently teamed up with Blake Shelton on “Hell Right,” which comes nearly 10 years after their smash “Hillbilly Bone.”

Thursday’s entertainment will feature Ontario born country singer Jason Blaine of “Cool," “Flirtin’ With Me” and “They Don’t Make ‘Em Like That Anymore” fame.

Blaine boasts an impressive 12+ Top 10 Canadian singles and is bringing his signature country roots back to Manitoulin Island. The recipient of the 2012 CCMA Single of the Year award, Blaine has enjoyed success touring with Tebey, Chad Brownlee, and Deric Ruttan.

In the direct support slot for Adkins, Carolyn Dawn Johnson will take the Manitoulin Country Fest on Friday night. With a career that spans three decades, includes 17 CCMA wins, and stretches from Vancouver, British Columbia to Nashville, Tennessee, Johnson has songwriting credits under her belt that include hits Mindy McCreery, Pam Tillis, JoDee Messina and more.

Saturday’s festivities begin mid-day with the Country 103 Indie Highlight Contest winner Danielle Todd opening the entertainment. Capping off the evening and festival is Canadian country due High Valley of “Dear Life,” “She’s With Me,” “Single Man,” “I Be U Be” and “Make You Mine” fame.

Brothers originating from the remote farming community of La Crete, Alberta, without even FM radio stations, High Valley has enjoyed commercial success due to a legion of loyal fans and consistent stage presence that electrify every live performance.
