Sudbury Indie Cinema Co-op is screening the 2016 German-Austrian film “Toni Erdmann” at the McEwen School of Architecture Feb. 21 as part of its Women In Film Wednesday Series.

The film's synopsis is as follows: “A practical joking father tries to reconnect with his hard working daughter by creating an outrageous alter ego and posing as her CEO's life coach.”

“Toni Erdmann” was screened at the 2016 edition of Cinefest, so if you didn't catch it then, here's your chance.

This 2017 festival hit won writer/director Maren Ade an Oscar nomination, 50 awards and 71 nominations.

The screening gets underway at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $12 in advance (before 4 p.m. the day of the screening) and $15 at the door.

A portion of ticket sales are donated to local women's organizations.
