This year more than 50 percent of the light displays have been re-roped with energy-efficient LED light strings.

The Festival of Lights will be held from Nov. 29 to Jan. 7 from 5 to 11 pm, Sunday through Thursday. The lights will also be on every Friday and Saturday, and on Dec. 24, 25 and 31, from 5 pm until 1 am.

Admission to this event is free of charge, however a donation to the Sudbury Charities Foundation is appreciated.

The Sudbury Charities Foundation Festival of Lights is supported by Greater Sudbury Hydro, the City of Greater Sudbury, the Sudbury Manitoulin Children's Foundation, Ten Rainbows Foundation and Science North.
