The Galerie du Nouvel-Ontario is hosting a virtual talk featuring artist Michael Fernandes, along with curator Jason St-Laurent.
During an "at home" residency from January to March, Fernandes shared his daily thoughts in the form of images and short texts on the Instagram account @beforeandaftertheelectriccar.
Intrigued by the poetry of everyday life, by the art that emerges from the maritime environment where he has lived for more than three decades, and by the immediacy of improvised creation, the artist sought to establish a diaristic dialogue with himself, as well as with a larger virtual audience.
Fernandes will chat with Ottawa-based artist-curator Jason St-Laurent to further explore his project titled "Before and After the electric car" on April 14 at 5 p.m.
