Last year, Sudbury girl Daniela Grottoli, then nine years old, won silver in the Eye Level Oratacular speech competition.

Daniela, now 10, has entered the North America-wide competition once again, giving a speech about the one thing she would change in the world. She said she would eliminate hunger.

“It is sad to think of even one child going to bed hungry,” she said in her speech. “To know millions will is heartbreaking. We need to do better. Everybody deserves to eat.”

The R.L. Beattie student is one of 92 finalists selected from the 2,072 students across Canada and the U.S. who took part in the competition.

You can help Grottoli win the competition by hitting the like button on the video of her speech on YouTube until March 29. Twenty per cent of the judging is based on the public's support.

As of Monday morning, she has 502 likes and 2,200 views on her speech.
