Hey Sudbury shutterbugs, we still want your photos for our In Focus feature

Landscapes, people, urban life: we want to see everything about Sudbury

Bob Blaney provided Northern Life its final In Focus photo. It's Junction Creek, just west of Fielding Park on a day so cold, it sent clouds of frost into the air, Blaney wrote in an email. Northern Life would like to thank all those who contributed photos for our In Focus feature every week. It's been a pleasure sharing your photos with the rest of our readers. However, Just because Northern Life printed its final edition this week, doesn't mean we don't want your In Focus photos. (Supplied/Bob Blaney)

Just because Northern Life has printed its final edition, doesn't mean Sudbury.com doesn't want your In Focus photos.

Over the years, we've printed thousands of photos submitted by our readers in our In Focus feature on the OpEd page.

We would like to continue that tradition, and we invite you to continue submitting your photos, but we want to open it up. Animals, landscapes, kids having fun — these were the focus of our In Focus photos over the years.

We still want to see your amazing images of the gorgeous landscape of our city, but there is more to Greater Sudbury than our rocks and trees and animals. There are some incredible photographers in our city who aren't shooting landscapes; they're shooting our urban centres, our people, our growth and our decay — we want to see all of these.

We know there are many shutterbugs in this city, and we want to tap into that resource. We enjoy looking at your photos, but more importantly, we enjoy sharing them, and we know readers love them, too.

COVID-19 has forced us apart for the sake of safety. Let's remember what brings us together: our humanity and our amazing city.
