An event called “Navrang Garba” dedicated to a traditional type of Indian music called “garba” takes place at Cambrian College's Student Centre Saturday, Oct. 19.
The event, which runs 6:30 p.m. to midnight (or later), will feature live performances by six musicians who are coming in from Toronto for the night.
Organizers say many of those in attendance will be international students and recent immigrants. More than 400 people are expected to attend.
Tickets cost just $10 each. They're available online through Event Brite, as well as at Cambrian's Student Life Centre, the Taj Bistro restaurant downtown, the Subway restaurant in the New Sudbury Centre and by phoning organizer Ravi Patel at 705-988-2684.
