Since 1981, the Ontario Junior Citizen of the Year Awards Program has recognized the best of Ontario’s youth.

Co-ordinated by the OCNA, with the support of its 300-plus member newspapers and sponsors (like TD Canada Trust), the program is also supported by the Office of the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario. Brandon is involved with many organizations, such as Big Brothers Big Sisters (Bowl for Kids Sake), Kinsmen Club (Charity House), United Way (Coats for Kids) and the Salvation Army (Christmas Kettle Campaign).

Up to 12 youth from across the province will be chosen from this pool of nominations. Final award recipients will be announced Fri. Jan. 22 at www.ocna.org.
