In January, the Greater Sudbury Public Library participated in the launch of an innovative, interactive chat information service across the province.
In partnership with Ask Ontario, the program - called askON - gives information-seekers the opportunity to immediately chat with skilled staff located in an Ontario library.
The Sudbury Public Library is one of ten libraries participating in the first phase of the program. Sudbury will contribute 40 hours of chat time, including 10 hours in French, said a library news release.

This new service can help users find quality information and improve on-line research skills, stated the news release.
