A Lively man and his co-worker for New Liskeard are each $50,000 wealthier after winning the $100,000 second prize on a March 10 Encore draw.

"Robert (Heroux) and I have been playing the lottery together for almost eight years," said Albert Palonen of Lively. "We started out together as co-workers at Canadian Hydro Developers in New Liskeard and have remained good friends and lottery partners ever since."

Palonen purchased the winning ticket at the Garson Mini Mart and plans on investing his winnings in his family hobby.

"My wife and I operate Dream Catcher Equestrian Centre. We'll be adding a riding arena so our children and grandchildren can enjoy riding our horses."
