Two laugh-out-loud funny comics from Southern Ontario are being featured in this month's edition of Sudbury Performance Group's The Jokestack, which takes place June 16.
The show gets underway at 8 p.m. at The Trevi Bar & Grill.
Chris Robinson is one of the premier comics in Canada. A Brampton native, his raw, conversational style has captivated audiences for a decade. He has done tapings for Just For Laughs and Kevin Harts LOL network.
He also won $25,000 and the title of Sirius XM's Top Comic in 2016. He additionally was presented The Arts Acclaim Award by the Mayor of Brampton in the summer of 2017 for his success in stand-up comedy.
Now Magazine has described him as having "charisma and raw talent to burn." Robinson offers a performance you won't want to miss.
Egyptian-Canadian comedian Moe Ismail has been performing stand-up comedy across Canada and the United States for the better part of the last 10 years. Ismail’s style can be described as honest, raw, and energetic.
He has performed alongside some of the biggest names in comedy and has appeared on the Just For Laughs 42 festival, Sirius XM’s Canada Laughs, MTV, and the legendary Kenny Robinson's Nubian Show, which has featured acts such as Kevin Hart, Dave Chappelle, and Chris Rock.
“We are very excited to be hosting Chris Robinson and partner in crime, Moe Ismail,” said Shawn Bailey, president of Sudbury Performance Group.
“Audiences probably recognize Chris from starring as the face of Moore’s Clothing for men. Beneath his handsome demeanour lies a comedic mad-man.”
