(CNW) With the holiday season right around the corner,
lottery tickets are a popular last minute stocking stuffer, but
not for kids. Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG)
reminds residents it will not pay a lottery prize to anyone
under the age of 18. It is also against the law to sell a
lottery ticket to an underage person.
OLG and the Ontario Government take underage
gambling very seriously. It is a provincial offence punishable
with significant fines for a retailer to sell a ticket to a
minor, and retailers should not sell a ticket to an adult if
the retailer knows that the adult is purchasing the ticket for
a minor.

practices, visit
