From left Ted Conroy, chancellor of Huntington University, Collette Lougheed, Rick Bartolucci, Sudbury MPP, Kevin McCormick, president and vice-chancellor Huntington University and Gerry Lougheed Jr. pose for a photo during the official opening of the Lougheed Teaching and Learning Centre of Excellence. The centre at Huntington University was unveiled on March 3.
The research and resource centre is named in honour of Marguerite and Gerry Lougheed Sr. for contributions they have made to the growth and vitality of Greater Sudbury.
The facility serves scholars, students and the community.
The classrooms are equipped with mobile furniture, making the rooms multi-purpose — for classroom learning, computer labs, seminars, community workshops and social events. The students and educators will have access to new computer equipment, such as laptops and iPads.
