The centre at Huntington University was unveiled on March 3.

The research and resource centre is named in honour of Marguerite and Gerry Lougheed Sr. for contributions they have made to the growth and vitality of Greater Sudbury.

The facility serves scholars, students and the community.

The classrooms are equipped with mobile furniture, making the rooms multi-purpose — for classroom learning, computer labs, seminars, community workshops and social events. The students and educators will have access to new computer equipment, such as laptops and iPads.
