Masked Ball Gala raises money for healing garden

The fourth annual Masked Ball Gala dinner and dance captured the ambiance of the Elizabethan era while raising money to benefit the St. Joseph's Villa, Long Term Care Nursing Home in Sudbury.

clip The black tie affair, held Saturday night at the Caruso Club, was decorated in a Medieval theme and featured an orchestra, a portrait studio, and a number if auction and raffle items.

"We raise about $35,000 each year and we've done it for four years," said Jean Warwick, co-chair of the event.

view more photos "The first two years we bought a handicap van for the residents at the villa and the last two years we're building a healing garden so the patients can go out, with flowers and shrubs, and sit outside and enjoy the sunshine and fresh air."

"People seem to really enjoy dressing up with the masks," said Warwick.
