Meteo+, a French Canadian comedy television program being filmed in Greater Sudbury, will go to air on TFO on Feb. 14, 2008 at 8 pm.
Meteo+ is about a group of people who set up their own television weather station because the main network always seemed to get the weather in their area wrong.
Producer Tracey Legault said that the show caters to the fact that Franco-Ontariens have their own ethnicity and sense of humour and that shooting in Sudbury will help fulfill TFO's mandate to highlight Franco-Ontarien culture.
In anticipation for the first episode, Northern Life spoke with Sudbury actor Stephane Paquette at the Meteo+ studio to find out how he was chosen for one of the lead roles in the show.
The 12,000-square-foot studio, located inside the Rainbow Centre Mall, took six weeks to build and cost over $300,000.
