The popularity of Johnny Depp's Jack Sparrow character is expected to create a trend among junior buccaneers and pirate lords this Halloween. Many youngsters will be out trick or treating as pirates next Tuesday inspired by the recent hit movie Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest.
The second most popular costume this year is Superman, reports
Wal-Mart Canada. And there will be plenty of other superheroes
such as Spiderman, Batman, Robin, Wolverine and Mr. Incredible
knocking on doors Oct. 31.
Halloween is the fourth busiest shopping time of the year
behind Christmas, back-to-school and Mother's Day.
Wal-Mart reports Disney characters such Snow White, Cinderella
and Barbie continue to be popular as do the ghosts and ghoul
costumes.
In another inspiration from the big screen, Star Wars costumes
are available for the film's millions of fans, who can dress as
Anakin Jedi, venture to the dark side as Darth Vader or enlist
as a Storm Trooper.
