Sea Monsters 3D: A Prehistoric Adventure opens February 28 at Science North. Images in the film are so realistic, they seem to jump off the screen.

A new IMAX screen was installed on February 18 and 19 by a company called Cinema Stage.

The screen is perforated with thousands of tiny holes, allowing sound from IMAX's 7,600 watt digital surround system to easily pass through, enabling moviegoers to further "feel" the presentation.

The IMAX screens are coated with a special, high-grain silver paint, reflecting light from IMAX's powerful projectors. For more information phone 522-3701 or go to sciencenorth.ca.
