Northern Lights Festival Boréal, which celebrates its 50th anniversary edition July 7-10 in beautiful Bell Park, has put a call out for volunteer staff and vendors.

Volunteers will receive a variety of fun perks at this summer's biggest event and get the chance to help a non-profit organization.

There are many different volunteer positions like helping in the children's area, artists village, beer tent, hospitality, green team and customer service.

Depending on the role signed up for, volunteers can take advantage of free admission to the festival, meal vouchers/snacks, free merch and more!

“Are you ready for some of the most excellent live music and performances of the summer? Well so are we!” said Brennon Patterson, volunteer and outreach co-ordinator for NLFB.

“This year is our 50th anniversary and Northern Lights Festival Boréal is the destination, especially for volunteers! Volunteers get some amazing perks so sign up, swing by and see where all the magic happens!”

NLFB is celebrating its 50th anniversary bash this year with the heart of the celebration being the unique roster of 40+ musical acts, which annually draws 11,000 to 15,000 patrons from Ontario and beyond.

This year’s lineup will include such artists as St. Paul & the Broken Bones, The New Pornographers, Bombino, Judy Collins and so many more. Numerous craft and food vendors will also be at the festival.

NLFB is currently still accepting vendor applications, for a variety of vendors. The veteran music and arts festival traditionally hosts numerous food vendors, artisans, crafters, retailers, as well as non-profit and environmental exhibitors.

“Vendors really make the festival special, especially if you appreciate shopping as much as I do”, laughs Kigen Pelletier, marketing and communications co-ordinator for NLFB. “Food and drink vendors are also super important, especially if everyone’s up and dancing! I look forward to seeing all the awesome booths at this year’s festival, it’s sure to be a blast.”
