The 2008 Northern Ontario Music and Film Awards (NOMFA) take place from Friday, May 9 to Saturday May 10. The awards have grown tremendously over the years and this year have expanded to include a conference which will take place all day Friday and Saturday.
The conference will include panels, mentor sessions for artists, and a networking lounge.
On top of that, NOMFA has added music and film showcases of the finalists. The film showcase will take place on Friday, May 9 from 7 to 10 pm at Rainbow Cinemas. The music showcase will run from 10 pm to 2 am at the Townhouse Tavern.
Following another full day of events, the awards ceremony will be held on Saturday night at the Raddisson Hotel from 8 to 11 pm.
