Performing Christmas tunes at Caruso

Sudbury Youth Orchestra is an award-winning, non-profit organization with members aged 10 to early 20's.

The Sudbury Youth Orchestra, conducted by Jamie Arrowsmith, will present its annual Christmas Concert at the Caruso Club upper hall on Dec. 10 at 6 p.m. The orchestra will be joined by the Ida Sauve Dance Evolution at the dinner concert and silent auction.

Tickets are $25 (students/seniors, $20) and are available at Black Cat, the Cambrian College bookstore, from any orchestra member or or by calling 566-8101 ext. 7407 or ext. 7766.

Founded in 1972, the orchestra is an award-winning non-profit organization that "provides a calibre of orchestral playing comparable to that found in any major Canadian city," says Christopher Runions, media relations with the group. Members range in age from 10 to their early 20s.

The orchestra is conducted by Jamie Arrowsmith, who holds degrees from the Eastman School of Music and Kent State University.
