While everything is whining about the cold, Pistol George Warren is singing about it.
The hometown country-soul group recently released Blue Hawaii, a Christmas song. Check out pistolgeorgewarren.bandcamp.com for a free download.
The song is a lament about the cold, where Maty Ralph and the girls of PGW sing about wishing they could be gazing at the ocean under a palm tree for the holidays.
Ralph came up with most of the lyrics and melody, but credits King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand for Blue Hawaii's outro.
Those looking to catch the nine-piece group live are invited to check out the Towne House New Year's Eve. Check them out on Facebook or Twitter for more information.
