Sudbury Northern Life
As you're digging the frozen corpse of your car out of its icy
driveway burial mound, the words of Dean Martin never seemed
truer - Baby, it's cold outside. But have no fear, all
you frigid fellows-the Sudbury Theatre Centre has the answer to
your winter woe, 18 brand new holes of indoor mini-putt.
It's time to slay the snow and seek the sun at the Sudbury Theatre Centre's third annual P.G. Eh? indoor golf tournament.
This unique fundraising event is back, as once again another 18-hole mini-putt course is being built inside at the Sudbury Theatre Centre. Teams of six players are invited to try their hand at taming this sure-to-be wild course for a chance at winning some outstanding prizes. No golf talent necessary.
"Those who have encountered our creative team's kooky putting creations at past P.G. Eh? events know how outrageous things can get, and this year's course is no exception. All new holes will thrill returning golfers and rookie putters alike. In the past, we've had putting from toilet seats, across ponds and even using toilet plungers as putters. It's a laugh a minute!" says Evan Bate, STC marketing/publicity.
Spots will be filling up quickly, so grab your chilly chums, your goofy pals and any of your other zany acquaintances looking for a good time. Teams are invited to get creative with garb since there are special prizes for the best team costumes.
This one-of-a-kind fundraiser takes place on both Friday, Jan. 23 and Saturday, Jan. 24. Teams will play only one round of 18 holes, and each team will be asked to choose between arrival times of 7:30 p.m. on Friday or 6:30 p.m. or 8:30 p.m. on Saturday.
The entry fee is $30 per person, which includes food, prizes and tons of fun. Putters, balls and caddies are provided. Please call the STC box office at 674-8381 ext. 21 to secure a spot and don't forget to have a fun team name.
