Ramsey Lake the place to be on a sunny afternoon

Dozens of skaters hit the ice for Laurentian University McEwen School of Architecture event

The sun was shining and the air was crisp on Thursday evening as dozens of skaters made their way to the Ramsey Lake skating path.

Laurentian University McEwen School of Architecture held a community event to show off their shelters for skaters built by the architecture students.

This was the second year that students have built unique ice station shelters that line the path as rest stops for those who could use a little break or some time to warm up.

Besides getting the chance to check out the shelters, skaters took part in a bonfire and family skate and got to enjoy some free hot chocolate and s'mores.
