Ring in the New Year at Science North with an action-packed celebration filled with family fun for all ages. The annual New Year's Eve Family Fun Day will take place at Science North on Sunday, Dec. 31st from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
There is tons of fun throughout the entire Science Centre on December 31:
- Visitors are encouraged to dress up as their favourite comic book character or superhero.
- Be amazed by Joey the Acrobat. Whether he's juggling five balls, balancing on his head or flipping over five people Joey will leave you stunned and amazed.
- Visit the Graphic-Con and Greater Sudbury Public Library booth to receive your very own library card, check out comic books to take home, have a meet and greet with Spider-Man and enter for a chance to win a Graphic-Con prize pack.
- Do you have your mother's dimples OR your father's hairline? Discover what makes you. At Science North's special exhibit Genome: Unlocking Life's Code explore YOU.
- Meet and greet with our animal ambassadors and find your new partner in crime.
- Create your own comic, act it out in front of a green screen and see what it is really like to be a superhero with virtual reality.
- Join special Make-and-Take workshops — there is something for everyone.
- Take in a live science show in the Discovery Theatre.
- Get your face painted, learn to hula-hoop and so much more.
The New Year's Eve Family Fun Day begins at 11 a.m. ending with a kids' confetti countdown at 5 p.m. A special New Year's Eve Family Fun Day IMAX show schedule is also in place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
