Toronto-based, 11-piece blues and soul band Samantha Martin & Delta Sugar plays at the Townehouse Tavern July 18.
A press release said Martin, the group's lead singer, was “one of the most talked about performers at the 2018 Northern Lights Festival.
“Her powerful gospel workshop performance, along with Delta Sugar was a highlight of Sunday and her mainstage performance stopped hearts with her powerful, soulful voice.
“The Townehouse Tavern is proud to bring Samantha Martin and Delta Sugar back to Sudbury.”
In 2019, the group’s latest recording, “Run To Me,” earned a Juno nomination as well as four Maple Blues Award Nominations (Album of The Year, Songwriter of The Year, Entertainer of The Year, and Female Vocalist of The Year).
Doors open at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $20 at the door.
