The special exhibits hall at the science centre features Creatures of the Abyss.

Visitors can discover the strange creatures from the depths of the ocean, said a release. The average depth of the world's oceans is about 13,000 feet or 4,000 metres.

“Creatures of the Abyss is the seventh traveling exhibition produced by Science North, and we really wanted to give our visitors the opportunity to experience the environments, discover the amazing creatures in this largely unknown world, and meet the scientists who explore the deep sea,” said Brenda Koziel, Science North Scientist for Special Projects, in a  release. This special exhibit closes Jan. 3.

For youth, there will be a Wii video Gaming Tournament in the FedNor Cyberzone on the fourth level of the building.
