Sudbury area photographers are invited to participate in the 2nd Annual Scott Kelby Worldwide Photo Walk, a two-hour photo competition on July 18.
The event is open to photographers of all skill levels and registration is free, however, the photo walk is limited to 50 people. Similar photo walks will be happening on Saturday, July 18th in over 735 locations all over the world.
The Scott Kelby Worldwide Photo Walk starts at 9 a.m. July 18th at the Market Square downtown. Photographers will follow a pre-determined route until approximately 11 a.m. when the walk is scheduled to conclude at Fromagerie Elgin. Participants are welcome to stay after the event to share the results of their photographic efforts.
This co-ordinated social photography event provides an opportunity for photographers of all skill levels to take interesting pictures of the Sudbury downtown core. Pictures selected from each of the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photo Walk locations will be posted on the website.
Local Tour Leader, Katherine Huck of Rodenas Photography said, “We are excited about this opportunity for photography to be experienced as the truly enjoyable and creative art form that it is. While participants are having fun taking pictures that catch their attention, they will know that they may end up capturing the attention of the entire world.”
A mega-prize package will ultimately be awarded by Scott Kelby to the single best overall photo taken from all the Photo Walk locations around the world.
This is the second year for this worldwide photo walk, however, it is the first time Sudbury has participated.
