Producers of Discovery Channel's hit show Canada's Worst Handyman are coming to Sudbury in search of candidates for the fourth season of their show.
Proper Television, the company behind the series for Discovery Channel, is now accepting nominations for Sudbury handymen and women in need of real skills and tool training. Each and every nomination is given full consideration in an effort to find the very worst handy folk in the country.
In the history of the show, never has a bad handyman candidate called the city of Sudbury home. Producers are banking on this untouched territory and asking for nominations to fairly represent the entire country.
In November, a team from Proper Television will be in the area to meet with those who make the grade.
And who exactly makes the grade? The husbands and wives, brothers and sisters, neighbors and friends who are destroying their homes, one mishap after another. Those that make the final cut will be invited to the show's purpose-built Handyman Rehabilitation Centre. The goal: to fix broken handymen and women and end the agony of friends and family who have suffered long enough, a press release stated.
"Nominating the helpless handy-person in your life is
probably the best thing you can do for them - and yourself,"
says Andrew Younghusband, host and writer of Canada's Worst
Handyman. "I've seen people progress from clueless to
near-contractor. This works. And this season, we're counting on
Sudbury."
Those chosen will earn a spot at the Ontario training centre
for in-depth do-it-yourself rehab. The experts will tackle the
ins and outs of home improvement - plumbing, electrical,
drywall, flooring and much more.
Canada's Worst Handyman is being filmed this January. Space at the rehabilitation centre is limited. To nominate the bad handyman in your life, email [email protected] or call 1-866-598-2591.
