Sudbury's very own SuperstacK is doing its part to bring back live music to the downtown core by making a special appearance at the Grand Night Club tonight. Scott Donnelly (lead singer/guitar), Greg Mihajic (bass/back up vocals) and Brian Lahaie (drums) will perform May 22 at 8 p.m., when they will be opening for the Trews.

SuperstacK records and produces their own music and have toured across Canada and the northern States. They are celebrating the release of their song Kick It On Down to radio stations across Canada, and the release of their video on You Tube.

The dynamic group's CD has been well-received across Canada. The musicians have grabbed the essence of the '70s soul rock and breathed new life into it. The group is very tight and well rehearsed. The drumming is explosive.

The album features big full guitar and great vocals. It is truly a well-recorded and engineered album. SuperstacK is more than capable to open for any major league band on tour, such as the Trews.

SuperstacK CD cuts:

Here I Am, Kick It On Down, The Pie Lady, Rain Dance, Red Light, Fingers & Thumbs, Till I Arrive, The BreadHeads, High Again, True Love, Road Tales & The Love Lost, Sold For A Song.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars.

Tickets to SuperstacK and the Trews concert at the Grand Night Club, 28 Elgin St., are available at Records On Wheels, Angela Marie's Hair Studio, Big Daddy Radio, $25, and $30 at the door, 692-7046.
