Parents, guardians, teachers and students are invited to attend two presentations by motivational speaker Todd Cunningham on functioning with learning disabilities with the help of assistive technology.

A Ph. D. candidate and researcher from the University of Toronto, Cunningham will talk about how he has struggled with a learning disability and overcome the obstacles.

He will provide personal perspective on how assistive technology (text-to-speech, graphic organizers, word prediction, voice recognition) and learning strategies can assist individuals with learning disabilities.

The first presentation will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. in the council chambers at Tom Davies Square at 200 Brady St.

A donation to the Sudbury Food Bank would be appreciated.

The second presentation will be held at on Friday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at  Lockerby Composite School at 1392 Ramsey View Crt.

This event is sponsored by Cambrian College, the Glenn Crombie Centre, and Rainbow District School Board.

Everyone is welcome to attend. For more information, call 522-0100.
