The local committee responsible for the Stompin' Tom Connors statue put up in downtown Sudbury last year has invited the late musical legend's son to perform a concert in the city.
Taw Connors will perform a memorial tribute to his father at Laurentian University's Fraser Auditorium starting at 6:30 p.m. Saturday night (of course) on Oct. 22.
“Come out for a great Sudbury Saturday Night!!” said the Facebook event posted by the Stompin' Tom Commemorative Committee.
“You've never seen a show so close to the original. This is Taw Connors' first concert in Sudbury. It will feature most of Tom Connors greatest hits plus some of Taw's own songs.”
Tickets, which cost $25, are available at the Guitar Clinic, Jett Landry, Herold Supply and the Lexington Hotel.
