FIRST Lego League (FLL) is a global program created to get kids excited about science and technology. Guided by imagination and adult mentors, students face real world engineering challenges, discover career possibilities and learn to make positive contributions to society.

The tournament also offers students the opportunity to design, build and program robots, use Lego Mindstorms technology, learn teamwork skills, and research challenges facing today's scientists.

The winners of the Sudbury tournament will move onto the provincial tournament, to be held in Toronto on Dec. 6. Teams were judged in four different areas, including the performance in the robot challenge, project presentation, technical presentation and team spirit.

The fourth annual FIRST Lego League Tournament was presented by Ontario Power Generation.
