Photography students at Thorneloe University will show their work at an exhibition entitled Still Reality, Tuesday, Dec. 18 at the university theatre (10 am - 8 pm) and Saturday, Dec. 22 at Waters Mennonite Church in Lively (2 - 6 pm).

The benefit exhibition will raise funds for war resisters Michael Espinal and Jennifer Harrison, who now reside in Sudbury while struggling to apply for political asylum in Canada.

The photography course is a new component of Laurentian University's bachelor of fine arts program.  Although it is in its inaugural year, the course has 37 students.

The instructor,  Hoi Cheu, originally planned to sell the pictures to benefit the students themselves, to raise awareness of the serious problem of tuition hikes and student poverty.  The students voted unanimously to change direction and support the War Resisters Campaign.
