Sudbury Northern Life

Pius XII Catholic School students participated in the Walk for Cancer in early fall which helped raise part of the $4,264 donated to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation.

The rest of the money was raised through the sale of a DVD called Open Your Eyes and See.

The DVD was produced and edited by the students with guidance from a local videographer. The 59 minute documentary talks about the effect of greenhouse gases and global warming.

Students interviewed 13 people in the community including dignitaries like Mayor John Rodriguez, former MPP Diane Marleau and Sudbury Hydro, asking them what they are doing to reduce greenhouse gases in Sudbury.

The DVDs cost $15 and can be purchased at the school by phoning 566-6080.
