On March 30, the Sudbury Horticultural Society will hold its first spring meeting at the CNIB on York Street.

Doors open at 1:15 pm for refreshments.

At 2 pm, guest speaker Carole Anne Friedrich will begin her speech on daylilies. Friedrich began growing daylilies in her Sudbury garden in 1991 and now has more than 400 varieties on her property on Northshore Road in Field, a small village located between Sudbury and North Bay. She is a member of the Ontario Daylily Society and the American Hemerocallis Society. In July and August, Friedrich and her husband welcome visitors to tour her gardens and purchase daylilies from their collection, called DIG Daylily Gardens.

Memberships and yearbooks will be available at the meeting.

Admission is $2 and anyone is welcome to attend.
