Organizers of the Sudbury Living Lifestyle and Home Show are planning a spring celebration at the Caruso Club April 11.

“This is our third lifestyle show, and we have learned what works,” event co-ordinator Melanie Smith said. “One of the most popular things in the original show was chef Michael Cullen’s cooking presentations. So he’s back, this time with ideas for fast, 15-minute meals. Presentations will be at 12:15 and 2:15 p.m.”

Cullen will also be busy preparing gourmet appetizers for the first 500 people who attend the show.

Sudbury Living gift bags full of goodies will be handed out to the first 500 attendees as well. “The Spring Lifestyle and Home Show promises to be our best show yet, Smith said.

Show attendees will have a chance to take advantage of special offers and to win door prizes such as patio furniture from Sears, and beauty makeovers

“Hairstylist Frank Marasco of A Touch of Class and makeup artist Kim A. Harrott will be doing the makeovers at the winners’ convenience, and the magazine plans to do a story on the before and afters,” Sudbury Living editor Vicki Gilhula said.

“I am looking forward to the spring show because I get a chance to talk to Sudbury Living readers and local business owners. That’s how I get ideas for future issues.”

Smith said the Spring 2010 show will be a little different than the previous spring and fall shows. “We want people to have a unique experience every time, so we have changed venues. The Caruso Club offers an intimate setting for a lifestyle show.”

Representatives of more than 50 businesses and services are participating in the show, which will showcase home decor, beauty products, indulgences, fashion, healthy lifestyles, and travel.

There will also be a chance to meet country singer Larry Berrio, who is featured in the spring issue of Sudbury Living.
“He will be stopping by at the show at 2 p.m. to meet his fans,” Smith said. “This is your chance to get your photo taken with Sudbury’s country star. He will also have CDs and T-shirts on hand to purchase.”

Live music will be provided by Melodic Moments. There will be light refreshments available for purchase, and some vendors will have free samples.

The Caruso Club restaurant, Ristorante Enrico, will be open for brunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and for dinner, from 5 to 8 p.m.

Admission to the Sudbury Living Lifestyle and Home Show is $8. The event, at the Caruso Club, runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
