Sudbury writers host acclaimed novelist

Governor General's Award-winning author Nino Ricci will be coming to Sudbury this weekend to conduct a workshop for the Sudbury Writers' Guild. Ricci will speak about writing fiction and will critique  writers'work.

Governor General's Award-winning author Nino Ricci will be coming to Sudbury this weekend to conduct a workshop for the Sudbury Writers' Guild.


Ricci will speak about writing fiction and will critique  writers'work.


Ricci, who is of Italian heritage, grew up in Leamington in southern Ontario. He is the author of the Lives of the Saints trilogy.


Lives of the Saints was on the Globe and Mail bestseller list for 35 weeks when it was published in 1990.


Lives of the Saints was made into a Canadian television series which starred Sophia Loren.


Ricci's most recent novel, Testament, is published by  Anchor Canada, a division of Doubleday Canada.
