The Sudbury Youth Orchestra will give their final performance of the season April 17 at 8 p.m. in the Glad Tidings Auditorium.

Sudbury Symphony Orchestra members will join Sudbury Youth Orchestra for the performance.

The theme of the performance is Last Night at the Proms.

Last Night at the Proms is traditionally the final performance of the annual BBC Promenade concert series, which usually consists of 70 concerts in Royal Albert Hall, Cadogan Hall and various chambers and parks.

Tickets to the last night are usually the most sought after as last night is the most celebrated of the whole concert experience.

Performances feature popular classics and patriotic numbers serving as the grand finale for the concert series. The Sudbury Symphony Orchestra and Sudbury Youth Orchestra will attempt to replicate the energy and spectacle of these productions on a smaller scale.

Tickets are $5 for students under 18 and $15 for accompanying adults. Phone 673-1280.
