The Vale Superstack — which the company recently announced it will take out of service — is the subject of the Art Gallery of Sudbury's latest exhibition.

These art works help tell stories of how the Superstack has visually and culturally influenced the arts and the people of northern Ontario since its construction in 1970.

Sudbury Selections: The Superstack Edition is on display until Feb. 26. Sixteen artists are represented in the exhibition, including Angus Trudeau, Nellie Keillor Lowe, Doug Donley, William Kurelek, Ray Laporte, Ivan Wheale, and others.

As part of the exhibition, the gallery is appealing to individual and corporate members of the community for sponsorships and donations to enhance the conservation and care of its permanent collections.

Donations and sponsorships for Sudbury Selections: The Superstack Edition will directly benefit the care of 28 works.

Drop by the gallery to designate one of the works on exhibition for your support.
