This year's More than Just Desserts fundraiser raised a grand total $44,065 for the Arthritis Society.

The event was held March 27 at the sold out Caruso Club, where guests dined and sampled a fine selection of desserts, entrees and alcoholic beverages provided by Cambrian College Baking and Pastry Arts, Grill Marks Bistro, M&M Meat Shops, My Thai Palace, Ristorante Verdicchio, Smith's Market Inc., Societa Caruso, Sweeet!, LakeHouse Dining Lounge and Cocktail Bar, Alliance Coffee and Water, The Ambassador Hotel, Loeb Lasalle, PJB Primeline, Brick Brewing Co. Limited, Colio Estate Wines, Inniskillin Wine, Muskoka Lakes Winery, Steam Whistle Brewery and Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi.

Emcees Rich Griffin and Gary Beech from EZ Rock 105.3 FM hosted two live auctions in support of the Arthritis Society, with prizes ranging from home renovations to a barbecue with the Greater Sudbury Fire Department calendar guys.

Local recording artist Sarah Craig added her own flavour to the evening, with choice cuts from her latest album, the Threshing Floor.
