All Nations's Church, is celebrating the festive season with
Teddy Christmas this Sunday, Dec. 9 from 9:30 to 10:30 am, and
from 11 am to noon at Fraser Auditorium, Laurentian University.
People are invited to bring  new or gently loved teddy
bears to create a mountain of bears to share.
Each year, different organizations in Sudbury are called upon
to bring children at risk into their care. Giving a child a
teddy bear gives these children comfort during this traumatic
time.
Grampa Fred Arnold has been collecting teddy bears for years
and he put them to work helping children in need. But his
collection was not enough to distribute to more than 350
children each year coming into care in the Sudbury District. So
out of one man's desire to care for children at their most
vulnerable moment came Teddy Bear Christmas.
This Sunday All Nations Church members will dedicate
bears in memory or in honour of some one they love.
All Nations Church is partnering with community businesses in
distributing the teddy bears to these organizations who care
for children at risk.
