The perfect fit for Father’s Day

Let us help you choose a shoe that could have you dancing all night. We can do that by telling you to shop for shoes at the end of the day, when feet are swollen.

Since feet sizes change as we age, and as we gain and lose weight, we suggest you have both feet measured before buying. Always make sure there is about a quarter of an inch between where your laces tie-up to allow for proper adjustment after your shoes have stretched out. We also recommend that you don’t shop by shoe number, because sizes vary between different styles and designers.

Don’t buy shoes that are too tight, thinking they’ll stretch. There is no such thing as breaking them in. If you do have a pair now that is not fitting well, don’t hesitate to drop in to a reputable shoe retailer, as there are a few things they can do to either stretch or adjust the movement in the heel area. This could easily help you get more miles out of your investment and prevent discomfort or blistering.

And finally, own two pairs of black shoes. Wearing the same shoes two days in a row is not healthy. Let your shoes breathe so they won’t collect moisture and cause future problems. Investing in a pair of cedar shoe trees is highly recommended to keep your shoes dry and in good form.
