A dream came true for two Ukrainian folk dancers today when they received city approval to open a new catering business, 2 Kozaks Catering.

"Finally, my dream came true and now I can finally work for myself, which is what I have always wanted to do," said Orest Maluha, one of two chefs that make up 2 Kozaks.

Patrons can enjoy traditional Ukrainian cuisine as well as other European and Canadian foods.

clip "We make all our food (from scratch), like the way our grandparents used to make it," said Maluha. "Everything's fresh."

Food prepared at 2 Kozaks includes: perohy, cabbage rolls, meat sticks, borscht (soup) and kapusta (a cabbage-based dish).

Maluha is famous for more than his culinary skills however, as he has performed all over the world as a dancer in a Ukrainian group called the Black Sea Kozaks.

Those who may be interested in putting a Ukrainian twist on their next business luncheon or special occasion can contact 2 Kozacks Catering, 583 Kathleen St. or 669-0555.
