Knights of Valour to bring jousting and other renaissance festivities to Sudbury

Knights of Valour Extreme Jousting is returning to Sudbury, only this year, spectators will enjoy the show at the beach.

On May 27, Moonlight Beach will be transformed into a medieval field, filled with knights in shining armour, horses and other Renaissance festival attractions.

“It’s something very unique,” Knights of Valour owner Shane Adams said. “You can’t get a better backdrop with this beautiful lake.”

The Knights of Valour have been entertaining North American audiences with exciting shows of horsemanship, bravery, and chivalry since 1997.

In addition to the full-contact jousting tournament, spectators in Sudbury will be treated to a freak show by magician Zoltan the Adequate, free flight bird demonstrations by the Canadian Raptor Conservancy and daring juggling by Kobbler Jay

Gates open at 6 p.m. and the show starts 7 p.m.

The event goes rain or shine. Guests can bring their own lawn chair for the event.

General admission tickets are on sale now at www.extremejousting.com and are $15 adults, $10 for children aged five to 12 and free for children four and under.
