Video: Highlights from this year's Up Here festival

Music was everywhere this past weekend

Up Here – Urban Art & Music Festival presented the opportunity to check out dozens of amazing live acts this past weekend.

Organizers kicked off the 2016 edition of the music and art festival Aug. 11 at the Durham Playground on Durham Street. The festival continued until the wee hours of Sunday morning.

Founder Christian Pelletier said this year's event was even bigger than last year's, and has become a draw for festival-goers outside of Greater Sudbury.

The total number of musicians has grown to 40 from 30 a year ago, and the city's downtown gained seven new murals to add to the six painted in 2015.

Check out Sudbury.com's video highlighting some musicians, such as Benjamin Hermann, David Dino White, Thesis Sahib, Bean Head & Donutboy, Young Galaxy, The Visit, Foxtrott and Stars.
